Zazen is the way of awakening. It has been passed on since the days of Buddha Shakyamuni. Sitting with crossed legs and a straight back on a round pillow, participants focus on internal matters. While conscious of one’s posture and breathing, participants concentrate on their thoughts, letting them appear and pass by like clouds. In this position, one’s muscle tension and breathing will interrupt the steady stream of thoughts and rumination. The mind can calm down and take a step back from the troubles of everyday life.
Please bring a round meditation cushion and a blanket.
NOTE: Since January 2017, this course has taken place at ergotherapy Longjaloux (Eisenbahnstraße 23 in Kaiserslautern).
