Yoga at Unisport
More and more people around the world are discovering yoga as a way to stay fit, reduce stress, and prevent illness. Yoga helps to unite one’s mentality and physicality, creating a feeling of inner and outer balance.
Hatha Yoga originated in India. It includes gymnastic exercises and breathing techniques for relaxation. In addition yoga helps to strengthen your mental focus.
According to Master BKS Iyengar (Puna, India), yoga is more than a form of exercise. It’s also a blessing for the body, mind and soul. In Iyengar Yoga, the focus is on yoga techniques and breathing exercises that you will learn in class. Everyone can gain strength, confidence, and flexibility with a little help regardless of their level of yoga competence.
Yoga Vidya is a way to become healthier and to gain well-being and harmony in life. We will learn the Yoga Vidya series consisting of 12 classic asanas of yoga. There are variations for both beginners and advanced learners. The course also includes relaxation, breathing and concentration exercises.
Do not eat heavy meals 1-2 hours before the yoga lesson. Wear comfortable clothes and bring warm socks and a blanket.
